How to Play Mexican Train Dominoes
Start from the engine: Each player builds a train down from the round's engine domino (12-12 in round one). Your hand starts with 15 tiles.
Match the open end: Play a tile whose number matches the open end of a train. You may always build on your own train and on the shared Mexican Train.
Doubles must be covered: Playing a double branches the train — and it locks the board until someone covers it. If you can't, draw one tile; still can't, pass.
Open trains: Can't play? Draw a tile. Still stuck? Pass — your train opens and everyone may build on it until you play again.
Score low: When someone empties their hand (or the round blocks), everyone scores the pips left in hand. Lowest total score wins.
